DIY Rustic Ball Jar Table Centerpiece

These rustic centerpieces are not only great looking on tables for weddings, parties and as home decor, but they’re incredibly simple to make.  We make dozens of these for customers, in lots of different sizes.  You can make them out of just about any type of wood.  Even if you don’t have access to some reclaimed boards, you can buy regular pine at your local lumber yard / Home Depot etc. and stain it to give it that beautiful rustic appearance.

All you need is some 1×6 pieces of wood, some sand paper, finishing nails & stain or paint. No power tools, no problem.  You can cut these boards to length easily with a handsaw.  Or have the store cut them to size for you.

The centerpiece in the photo above is on our Etsy shop and measures 25″ long x 6″ wide” x 5″ tall.

So your cut list would be (2) 1 x 5 x 24  (2) 1 x 5 x 6 & (1) 1 x 6 x 24

I like to build these with the bottom piece on the inside of the box, so you don’t see the end grain of the wood, but that’s just me being picky.   Add flowers, ball jars, pine cones or candles to give your table an extra special touch everyone will love.
